🏆🏆 North Bend High School Band Makes Oregon History with Record-Breaking State Championship 🏆🏆

Competing at the Oregon state championships held at Oregon State University on May 14, 2026, the North Bend team captured first place once again under the direction of Amber Yester. This championship marks an extraordinary fourth consecutive state title, continuing a remarkable streak of victories in 2023, 2024, 2025, and now 2026. The accomplishment also secures North Bend’s place in Oregon history, with eight total state championships! North Bend now holds the record for the most 4A state band titles ever won by a single school, according to Oregon School Activities Association archives. This newest championship firmly establishes the program as the most decorated 4A band program in Oregon history. Among all classifications statewide, North Bend trails only two giant 6A programs in total wins. WOW!
The continued success of the program reflects the talent, dedication, discipline, and countless hours invested by students, staff, families, and community supporters. Under the leadership of Amber Yester, the North Bend band program sits as one of Oregon’s elite musical dynasties and a source of tremendous pride for the entire community.
