The North Bend School District would like to inform you that on the afternoon of August 23, 2023, officers of the North Bend Police Department contacted and took into custody a volunteer coach of the North Bend football team at the high school. This is an active investigation so we do not have a lot of information but we do know the reasons he was taken into custody are not related to his role as a volunteer coach and did not involve students. Student and staff safety is our highest priority and the volunteer coach is currently off of our football coaching staff.
